This year, I was honored with the privilege of being the 2013 valedictorian for my graduating class.

To meet the requirements of being the Valedictorian, you must actively participate in your school life, maintain a high GPA, and strive to be the best you can be, in everything you do.

I was constantly working to receive this honor, because I wanted to be remembered as a leader and a good citizen at my school.  With this privilege, comes the responsibility of writing and giving a speech at graduation, which I have happily done.
